Wednesdays on the Stoop--Tarot and Your Writing Practice w/ Gina Tomaine

How do you use tarot in your writing practice? What are the most useful methods or rituals you've found? Let's talk about it! In this session, we'll chat about maintaining a consistent writing practice, and the benefits of finding inspiration or grounding in mediums like tarot. Tarot can help jump start your writing day—or, contrarily, soothe and center you if you're in need of rest. Tarot can also direct you to new places with a project, idea, or character and get your creativity flowing. Let's pull cards and talk about writing and ritual together.

Gina Tomaine is a freelance editor and writer and an adjunct professor at Saint Joseph’s University. She is the author of The Philly Tarot Deck Guidebook, and an intuitive tarot student and practitioner. Her work has appeared in outlets like New York magazine’s The Cut, VICE, Cosmopolitan, Philadelphia magazine, and The Boston Globe. She lives in Philly in a 100-year-old row home with her husband and their cat, Salem. She holds an MFA from Emerson College, and she is currently at work on a young adult novel about tarot.
