Wednesdays on the Stoop: noor ibn najam, OBOP

Wednesdays On the Stoop, a series of free programming by Zoom every Wednesday from 4 pm - 5 pm. The sessions are designed to be a constant structure--every Wednesday at 4 you can count on Blue Stoop to plug you into your writing energy with an informal and supportive space.

Presented in partnership with One Book, One Philadelphia, which honors Jericho Brown's The Tradition. “Writers should read,” but no two writers read the same. In this special OBOP conversation and generative workshop, join writer noor ibn najam in a conversation around readers’ lives and how we can relate reading into a personal writing practice. Using a poem from The Tradition, participants will generate their own prompts.

Join Blue Stoop and local writers for creative workshops inspired by The Tradition. These supportive sessions for writers and readers of all walks of life and experience levels will offer prompts, engagement with writing craft, and space for writing and community. Wednesdays on the Stoop is a Blue Stoop series of free programming held on Zoom every Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with sessions ranging from sitting together to read stories or poems, writing quietly together, open mics, and more.
